Currently in MVAPICH2 (MPI-2), only polling mode is possible with our
current RDMA channel interface. A blocking mode is not possible unless
we re-implement using a different interface such as CH3 or ADI3. We are
considering this feature for our next release of MVAPICH2.

Currently in MVAPICH (MPI-1), it is possible to use the blocking
approach if you choose to use send / recv instead of RDMA for small /
control messages. We are considering making this option visible to users
in our next release.

Thanks,
Sayantan.
