Along the lines of tests, is-there/will-there-be a 'simple' validation
test which confirms the openib stack was correctly built and installed?
By 'simple' test I mean something along the lines of a single reliable
connection, a simple ping-pong message exchange with orderly connection
shutdown. A simple validation test like this accomplishes to important
customer goals:
1) partially validates an openib stack build & install by demonstrating
common data exchange functionality.
2) The test code becomes an example of how to use openib APIs.
The SourceForge IB stack addressed this issue with cmtest.
